GATE 2013 - Opportunities at your door step

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology.  GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The GATE score of a candidate reflects the relative performance level of a candidate. The score is used for admissions to various post-graduate programmes (eg. M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian higher education institutes with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies.  The score may also be used by Public sector units for employment screening purposes.  Read more about GATE.

    1. Hello Sahil,

Dear, you did not mention your branch from which you want to appear in GATE. Anyway, you still have a plenty of sufficient time in your hands for preparing for GATE.

If you have not started yet, start with your favourite subject of your stream, so that it is not boring at the very start.

Secondly, make habit of studying for long time in continuation. Initially it is hard to study for more than half an hour continuously but you will have to make it a practice.

Build your basics very strong but you don't have to study everything related to one subject, just explore the part from where questions are mostly asked in GATE.

Practice questions of various types related to one topic.

Make short notes of memorable points somewhere for quick revision.

If you have something to ask please let us know.
